Job Description: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

As we shift toward a product-led growth (PLG) model, we’re looking for a CMO to drive this transformation and scale our impact.
Your Mission
Help us acquire, activate, and retain thousands of SMBs globally through smart, scalable marketing.
What You’ll Do
Lead and execute our PLG marketing roadmap
Build growth loops and user acquisition funnels from our paid and organic acquisition channels including website, Google Play, iOS app store, Meta ads, Youtube ads, TikTok ads
Run experiments to improve activation, trial-to-paid, and retention
Use tools like Clay, Zapier, and AI to automate workflows
Experience with HubSpot
Plan and launch landing pages, email sequences, and paid ads
Own key KPIs (PQLs, CAC, activation %, retention)
What You Bring
4–7 years in growth, product, or performance marketing
Hands-on experience with no-code tools, CRMs, and analytics
Strong writing and funnel-thinking skills
Experience in SaaS or fintech (bonus for payments)
Strategic thinker who loves to roll up their sleeves
Located in Ottawa or willing to relocate (mandatory)

4–7 years in marketing roles, at least 2 years directly in PLG SaaS or B2B tech
Track record of growing user base from early traction to scale
Has built and managed funnel experiments, ideally with SMB audience
Familiar with payments, SaaS, or finance-adjacent space (bonus)
Technical enough to self-serve (e.g., create automations, write simple SQL, publish landing pages)
Deep experience with activity and event related in-app or e-mail interactions during the trial journey
Must have an execution bias — can write copy, build in tools like Webflow or Unbounce, set up analytics, run ads, etc.
