Who is Sam?
Sam is your AI employee at CPOS and works for you by text. Sam makes your video ad, website and logo, gets them in front of customers, and turns your phone into a card reader so you get paid.
Is CPOS Pay really free?
Yes. There is no monthly fee and no subscription. You pay 2.49% + $0.10 only when you take a payment.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. CPOS Pay works on supported iPhones and Android devices with contactless hardware. If you see "Device is not supported," your phone may lack the required NFC hardware.
Do I need a terminal?
No. Your phone takes cards. A terminal is for counters that want a dedicated device and printed receipts.
Tap to Pay
What is Tap to Pay and how does it work?
Tap to Pay turns your iPhone or Android into a contactless card reader. Enter the amount in the CPOS app and your customer taps their card or phone on the back of your device, with no extra hardware.
What are the transaction fees?
Tap to Pay is 2.49% + $0.10 per transaction, with unlimited payments and no monthly volume caps. You can lower your rate later right inside the app as your business grows.
Is there a limit per payment?
You can take payments up to $1,000 per transaction out of the box, with no monthly volume caps. Working on bigger jobs? Raise your per-transaction limit in seconds from the app after a quick verification.
Can it send receipts by text?
Yes. Send digital receipts by SMS or email right after the payment, with no paper needed.
Can I accept tips?
Yes. You can turn on tipping and let customers add a tip at checkout.
How are refunds handled?
You can issue full or partial refunds from the app on any payment.
Can I manually enter card numbers?
CPOS Pay is primarily designed for Tap to Pay. Rather than manual entry, you can generate an invoice link that lets the client securely complete the payment themselves.

Do I need an app or an account?

Who owns the videos?
You do. Use them anywhere: posts, Stories and ads.
Who owns my domain?
The domain is yours. We register it and set it up while you're on Pro, and if you ever cancel, we transfer it to you at no charge.
Do I need to use CPOS Pay?
No. Videos work for any business. CPOS Pay is there if you want to take cards on your phone too, and Pro covers it.
How do I stop the texts?
Reply STOP at any time.

What does Pro add?
Bigger payments, up to $10,000 each, plus 10 video ads a month and your own website on your own domain.
What do video ads cost?
Your first video is a free preview. Love it? Pro makes it clean for $19.99 a month, with changes free until you love each video, 10 videos a month and your website with its own web address, like yourname.com. You pick the name, and it's yours.
How do I get Pro?
In the CPOS Pay app, under your plan.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes, anytime. No contract or lock-in, and your domain stays yours.

How is a terminal priced?
Interchange plus a flat 0.20% on every card, debit just 5¢. $0 upfront and month-to-month.
