Social media is an affordable way to market your business in an effective way. That’s if you know where to invest of course. One important aspect to invest in is pictures and the quality of those pictures.

What is your brand identity?

If you don’t have a brand identity yet, take your time to create one. It’s important to know what you want your brand to be and the message you want to convey to consumers. What do you want your social media to look like and what are the colour schemes you think might fit well with your brand? Posting photos on social media is an art and the photos you post should be unique to your brand/business.

Are you willing to put some money into it?

When it comes to social media, you need to invest some money into it in order for your efforts to not be in vain. This means, investing in a good, high quality photographer to take pictures of your products/services. Lookup photographers that specializes in your area of work. There are photographers who are better at photographing food, others are better with models, clothes, creative shoots, etc. Invest, but invest in the best for what you need done.

In a rush?

Sometimes you will need to post on social media about a discount or a subject matter that needs to be posted right away. When you’re in a rush, it’s a good thing to invest in a bank of images, “Shutterstock” being a great example. It allows you to post a decent quality picture, that isn’t too expensive. Some pictures could even be free depending on where you look and what you’re looking for.

Finally, picture quality is something very important when it comes to social media and it’s not something to take lightly. It can make or break your brand in a matter of one post. Don’t be scared to invest some time and money into quality as it will always pay off in the end.
